The Fisherman’s Story AI project immersed students in an end-to-end AI-driven storytelling experience, where traditional narrative craft intersected with emerging creative technologies. Students conceptualized a symbolic story exploring the tension between human skill and artificial intelligence, developing a complete script and dialogue using generative AI tools.
Through character and environment design, dialogue animation, image-to-video generation, and AI-assisted upscaling, they learned to orchestrate multiple AI workflows into a cohesive visual narrative. The project strengthened their understanding of prompt engineering, visual consistency, pacing, and emotional storytelling, while demonstrating how human creativity and judgment remain central when working with AI. By concluding with the message “Talent + AI wins,” students gained a critical perspective on collaboration between human expertise and technology, preparing them for future creative industries shaped by intelligent tools.
